I’m so glad you’re here!
It’s no secret that adolescence can be an extremely challenging time and often causes families to crumble from the stress and frustration it causes. I’ve met far too many parents desperate to do what’s best for their teens and at a loss of where to even begin. So, for the past 15 years, I’ve been on a mission to help as many parents and teens as I can to rebuild and strengthen their relationships through improved communication, deeper understanding, and renewed compassion and appreciation.
I bring to the table a wealth of information and experience including a doctorate in developmental psychology, over a decade coaching parents and mentoring teens, a certification in professional life coaching, and several years teaching adolescent psychology at the college level.
On top of that, I’m a MOM of a teen myself, so I understand firsthand the challenges of navigating adolescence. My daughter shuffles through the adolescent greatest hits on a regular basis: attitude, moodiness, messiness (you get the picture), and you can be assured that I not only talk the talk, I WALK THE WALK!
is to inspire and challenge families facing everyday problems to re-imagine their family dynamic and build a happier, healthier home life. In other words, I’m here to help calm the chaos and
SAVE YOUR SANITY!
My belief is that teens act out when they feel misunderstood. And teens feel misunderstood because they ARE misunderstood. Once we learn to work with our teens rather than against them, we become
MORE EFFECTIVE PARENTS.
If you're ready to invest in your relationship with your teen,
prioritize their mental health (and your own), and find more joy in your life,
I'D LOVE TO TALK WITH YOU!
Dr. Cam brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to assist parents and teens in fine tuning their relationships. As a coach, she is focused on equipping parents with practical tools for family leadership, while helping teens build confidence as they journey into adulthood. As a mentor, she has a gift for connecting with teens and providing valuable support and guidance. I believe it’s important for teens to have non-parent role models, and as the mom of two teens, I have often found myself encouraging them to “Go ask Dr. Cam!”
